Opening 5* Falkensteiner Hotel Montafon

In the middle of the skiing and nature paradise Montafon in Vorarlberg, the 5-star family hotel Montafon is currently being built. The owners are illwerke vkw AG from Vorarlberg, a best practice example when it comes to renewable energies. But it is being run by Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences.

The architecture was designed by Snøhetta Studio in Innsbruck and Vudafieri Saverino Partners in Milan. From December 2022, 123 rooms in 5 categories await families who will fill the hotel with life. The key aspects of the family hotel are sustainability, regionality and renewable energies.

The F&B concept will focus on regional products. There will also be a wide range of vegan dishes.
The highlight will be the wide-ranging edutainment programme for young guests, where they will learn, among other things, how electricity is generated from water. They can go on excursions through the power plant and to the reservoirs or learn a lot about forest and species protection as environmental rangers, as well as about the regionality of food.
